I have worked in the field of communication for over 23 years!! and have seen several changes this areas. While basic techniques remain the same, lots has changed when it comes to specilizations and technology.

I am a voracious reader and must admit that communications and use of words has indeed reached a new high. In fact I will not be surprised if someone authors a book written purely in sms language !
I agree with you. While technology has enabled better means of corp communication, challenges have also increased. Employees are more demanding now a days and information must be equally accessible to various stake holders and media and operations must be as transparent as possible. Communication logistics are under increasing scruitiny and i feel this has altered the way companies deal with corp communication.
Also, credibility is key in this environment and you cant credibly communicate any message if it doesnt resonate with employees first.
I thought there was already something on shortforms of SMS in the market!! maybe a full fledged book in now in order.
While communication is now available at the click of a mouse.. dont you think that there is some times an over load. Everybody needs information.But what are they actually doing with this info?? especially in an official set up, more often than not its directed into the trash can!! how does one decide on what to communicate to whom and how much?? any insights??ps
i havent blogged for a year. hope to change that. This is a start.or should i say restart.
hmm I have been really terrible at blogging!! whats with me. This is not done. any inputs on how to make this a regular thing? i love to stay connected, but of absolutely no avail. tut tut.
